These are the 8 available presets, plus 2 daily summaries. Each preset has a default threshold you can adjust per target (for example: lightning at 10 km for the city, but 15 km for the vineyard). Vigía is not an official warning service: we calculate the alerts ourselves from the weather data you see in the app, and they do not replace the official authorities in your area.
Storms
- Severe thunderstorm — Push when a severe thunderstorm is nearby, with electrical discharges and enough atmospheric energy to sustain itself. It may bring hail. Default: 25 km.
- Lightning nearby — Push when lightning strikes within the chosen radius (GOES GLM network). Default: 10 km, 30-minute window.
- Hurricane or tropical storm — Early warning when the center of the system enters your area. Default: 200 km.
- Strong wind — Warns you up to two days ahead when strong gusts are expected. The threshold starts at your city's value and you can adjust it.
Crop risk
- Frost — Warns you in the afternoon when frost is expected in the next two nights. Default: frost class 2 (3 for cereal).
- Extreme heat — Heat wave with risk to crops and people. Default: 50 km radius.
- Fire weather risk — Wind and humidity conditions that favor the spread of fire. Default: 50 km radius.
Earthquakes
- Nearby earthquake — Push when an earthquake above the configured magnitude is recorded nearby. Default: magnitude ≥ 4.5, distance ≤ 100 km.
Daily summary
- Today's weather — Every morning at 9: the high, the low and how the day looks.
- Tomorrow's weather — Every evening at 9 pm: what is coming the next day.
How do I activate one?
